3ds Max Importing and replacing from the Asset Library So let’s click off of everything else. Only select that group, that’s really important. Right, now, back to the Asset Library. With that group node selected, we can switch this over to “Replace” and then choose the wood-and-glass version of the bookcase. And just drag that into any viewport, it doesn’t matter where. Once that’s done, we can take a look at what we’ve got. As you can see now, we’ve got a different material on that bookcase. We replaced all the selected objects in the scene with the incoming objects. They don’t have to have the same names or anything like that. You just select something and then drag some other scene on top of it, and it replaces what you had selected. And that’s how you can replace selected objects using the Asset Library.
