3ds max Modeling Passing a selection up the stack

3ds max Modeling Passing a selection up the stack We can exit out of sub-object mode by clicking gizmo, but we still have some faces selected, as indicated by the icon here, just next to volume select. So those faces will now be passed up the stack to the next modifier. Let’s add that modifier from the list. It’s called delete mesh. Here it is delete mesh. And now those faces are deleted.

I can turn off the grid in the viewport here with the G key and tumble around, and we can see that we’ve punched a hole in the model. And now we’ve actually got an open boarder on this model. And that’s fine. That’s exactly the result that we wanted. If I needed to make adjustments to the volume select, it’s an easy matter. We go into volume select gizmo, and if show end result is turned on, then we can see the result after the entire stack has been processed.
