3ds max Polygon Modeling Branching with Editable Poly Extrude Remove those from the selection with Alt and click and drag. Alt and click and drag to remove. I just do that on all four corners. Once we’ve deselected all of those corner vertices, then we can just click the remove button, or use the keyboard shortcut Control + backspace. Either way now, we’ve removed all of those excess vertices. We can exit out of sub-object mode and now we’re ready to actually extrude the object. I’ll exit out of the isolate selection mode. And that’s how to use the remove tool to get rid of vertices. And it works the same for edges as well.
